AI Trainer Academy ("we", "us", or "our") operates a learning and certification platform that helps users master data annotation, RLHF, and prompt engineering. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this in plain language — no legalese.
Information We Collect
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a hashed value, never in plain text) when you register.
- Learning data: Your module progress, quiz scores, grading lab sessions, practice scores, and certificates you earn.
- Payment information: When you upgrade to Premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that securely. We store your subscription status and Stripe customer ID.
- Usage data: Basic, anonymized analytics about how you interact with the app (e.g., which features are used) to help us improve the product.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you when you log in.
- To track your learning progress and issue certificates when you meet the requirements.
- To display your name on the public leaderboard (only if you have grading lab scores) and on your certificate.
- To process Premium subscription payments and manage your billing.
- To send you service-related emails, such as password resets and weekly progress summaries (if you are an admin).
- To improve our content, features, and user experience.
Certificate Verification
When you earn a certificate, we generate a unique verification ID and a public verification page. Anyone with the link can confirm that your certificate is valid and see the name on it and the date issued — but no other personal data is exposed. Your email address is never shown on the public verification page.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (available in Profile & Billing), we permanently remove your progress, scores, certificates, and subscription information. We may retain limited records for legal or accounting purposes, such as payment records required by tax law.
Who We Share Data With
- Stripe: Processes Premium subscription payments. Stripe's privacy policy governs your payment data.
- Service providers: We use a backend-as-a-service platform (Base44) to host the app and store data. They are bound to protect your data and use it only to provide the service.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Your Choices
- Access & update: You can view and update your profile from the Profile page.
- Delete your account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Profile & Billing → Delete Account.
- Cancel subscription: You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time via the Stripe billing portal.
- Marketing emails: You can opt out of any non-essential emails by following the unsubscribe link in the email.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted password storage, secure authentication, and row-level access controls so one user cannot see another's private data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.
Children's Privacy
AI Trainer Academy is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email when practical.
